The pumpkins have arrived at Porters' Pub!!! Come down and practice your carving skills for our October 29 Pumpkin Carving Contest. We supply the pumpkins, sharp knives and alcohol...you supply the talent.
Come in and grab a pumpkin on your next visit and you, your friends, and family can make some jack-o-lanterns and help us decorate the place for Halloween. Of course, you can take your pumpkin with you, but we're more than happy if you want to leave it at the pub for everyone to enjoy.
Don't throw away those seeds, either, your server will take 'em back to the kitchen where we'll sprinkle some magic halloween seasoning on them and lightly toast them for everyone to enjoy.
All of this "practice" (read: fun) will culminate at Porters' Pub's Pumpkin Carving Challenge on the evening of October 29. Pumpkins will have to be carved that evening to be entered in the contest and all entries will be awarded a prize. We'll have a cash Grand Prize for the winner.
Winners will be announced at 11 p.m. and, of course, you should wear your bestest Halloween costume. Live music that night by Albert Savage Acoustic with special guests Mike Frank and Maria Woodford.
