Halloween Fun at Porters' Pub

Here at Porters' Pub, we take Halloween very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we expect you to be in your very best costumes when you come in for the Pumpkin Carving Contest on the 26th or during our Halloween Extravaganza on October 31st! 

Oh, and we have a bunch of pumpkins for you to carve.

Pumpkin Carving Contest - Oct. 26
Our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest will take place on October 26 with a winner being announced at 10 p.m.!

Come down and practice your carving skills starting around October 17 (when our pumpkins are delivered) up until the day of our Pumpkin Carving Contest. We supply the pumpkins, sharp knives and alcohol...you supply the talent.

Grab a pumpkin to carve on your next visit, we've got tons of 'em. Make some jack-o-lanterns to help us decorate the place for Halloween. Of course, you can take your pumpkin with you, but we're more than happy if you want to leave it at the pub for everyone to enjoy. 

Don't throw away those seeds, either, your server will take 'em back to the kitchen where we'll sprinkle some magic halloween seasoning on them and lightly toast them for everyone to enjoy. 

30th Annual Halloween Extravaganza - Oct. 31 
Join us on October 31st for a Halloween party full of ghosts, goblins, celebration, brews, contests, and more.

Sandy and the Mix will be providing the entertainment! 

Porters' Pub is ghouling-up for one of the most memorable Halloween celebrations yet. We'll have bobbing for apples with a "very special" prize for anyone who gets one; music; a $100 grand prize for the best costume, the best costumes in town; and the scariest party you'll be to all year!

Best of the Wurst - Spaten Oktoberfest braised Krainerwurst Weisswurst, Knockwurst, sliced over a bed of braised red cabbage served with Whole grain mustard $10

Bavarian Soft Pretzel - a Jumbo soft pretzel served with a Rauchbier grain mustard $10 

Lamb and Dumplings- Shaved leg of lamb over potato dumplings with a Rauche Bier Au Jus and fine herbs $12

Sauerbraten - A traditional Germen braised beef with brown gravy served over spaetzle and braised red cabbage $16 

Wiener Schnitzel - Tender pan-fried veal medallions with a lemon caper brown butter over spaetzle and braised red cabbage $18

Easton Laffest is taking place over the weekend of August 8 - 10 and we encourage you to attend as many events as you can!

If you want to see us, we'll be at there Saturday at 8 p.m. at Riverside Park Amphitheater. Headliner from Last Comic Standing, The Late Show, and more Moody McCarthy and featuring Keith Purnell. Free. Inside location will be the Grand Eastonian if it rains.

Porters' Pub Introduces Monday Jazz Jam Sessions

Porter's Pub is calling all local jazz fans and jazz players for its new weekly Jazz Jam Sessions. 

Every Monday, beginning on February 4 and starting at 8 p.m., Porters' Pub will be the place to not only listen to some extraordinary jazz performances, but also get in on the fun by playing with a bevy of established jazz musicians. 

The house trio includes:

Bill Goodwin - Drums
Bill Washer - Guitar 
Gene Perla - Bass 


Same house trio every Monday.

Typically, the house trio will begin the night with a set at 8 p.m. followed by a quick break.  Then, MC Bill Goodwin will bring musicians up to play with the house group.  All instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome.  No sheet-music or arrangements necessary. This is a real-deal, old-school, Jazz Jam Session!

Porters' Pub is as warm and cozy a spot for the holidays as you'll find in the Lehigh Valley and we want you to experience it with some live music, fun events, and delectable drink and food. Here is what we have on taps throughout the holiday season.

December 18: Gingerbread People Decorating
Come celebrate the holidays by decorating your very own gingerbread person at Porters' Pub. We'll supply the supplies and beverages, you supply the creativity!

December 19: Celtic Christmas
Join us for some authentic Celtic Christmas jams at Porters' Pub. This is sure to get you into the holiday spirit! Speaking of spirits, there will be more than enough to go around.

Holiday Hours and Specials
Christmas Eve: Regular hours and menu.
Christmas Day: Open at 5 p.m. with a limited menu.
New Year's Eve: Regular hours and menu with Karaoke!
New Year's Day: Regular hours and menu. Join us for an Irish Breakfast featuring  2 eggs, bacon, sausage, baked bean, breakfast potatoes, and grilled tomato for just $13. And, don't worry, we'll have bloody marys.

Here at Porters' Pub, we take Halloween very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we expect you to be in your very best costumes when you come in either on the Halloween Pub Crawl on the 27th or during our Halloween Extravaganza on October 31st! 

Oh, and we have a bunch of pumpkins for you to carve.

Our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest will take place on October 27 with a winner being announced at 10 p.m.!

Come down and practice your carving skills starting around October 17 (when our pumpkins are delivered) up until the day of our Pumpkin Carving Contest. We supply the pumpkins, sharp knives and alcohol...you supply the talent.

You, your friends, and family can make practice pumpkins up until the 27th and help us decorate the place for Halloween. Of course, you can take your pumpkin with you, but we're more than happy if you want to leave it at the pub for everyone to enjoy. 

Don't throw away those seeds, either, your server will take 'em back to the kitchen where we'll sprinkle some magic halloween seasoning on them and lightly toast them for everyone to enjoy.

All of this "practice" (read: fun) will culminate at Porters' Pub's Pumpkin Carving Challenge on the evening of October 27. Pumpkins will have to be carved that evening to be entered in the contest and the winning entry will be awarded a $100 prize. 

Winners will be announced at 10 p.m. and, of course, you should wear your best Halloween Costume!

Halloween Pub Crawl - Oct. 27
Join us for our pirate pub crawl! Sail the stormy seas of the Beermuda Triangle (Porter's Pub, Two Rivers Brewing Company and Black & Blue)! Dress up in your favorite pirate garb! Drink specials, prizes for best costumes and for completing the crawl.

29th Annual Halloween Extravaganza - Oct. 31
